About Educavif
Educavif is a non-profit organization endeavoring to bring complementary life-science education to students in schools through interactive workshops and programs, as well as to provide teacher support in the form of training and teaching-kits.
Our Philosophy
Educavif was founded on the idea that science consists of questions and therefore requires great curiosity. We firmly believe that children are all budding scientists. They are by nature curious explorers. Educavif is here to guide them through their explorations and discoveries.
Active participation is encouraged in our workshops, since experience has taught us that kids absorb knowledge a great deal better if they are actively involved in the learning process.
In a world where science and technology evolve at the spead of light, it is never too early for kids to start acquiring scientific knowledge. Educavif has the tools necessary in order for kids to grasp the basics of life sciences, and the expertise of its qualified workshop leaders to provide a quality education experience.
With a variety of hands-on workshop programs that focus exclusively on life sciences, Educavif also provides young people the opportunity to actively widen their interest in science by participating in the Educavif Online Kids Club, through which they complete experiments tailored to their age/grade level, and earn reward certificates.
Educavif is committed to take a leadership role in science education early in children's lives.

Science Communication
Evelyn Castillo,, B.Sc., M.Sc.
Founder of Educavif, Evelyn Castillo has a Master's in Science degree in Immunology and a Bachelor's of Science in General Biology (specialization molecular biology, biotechnology). She also has years of experience successfully communicating the sometimes complicated terminology of science to children and adults primarily through the facilitating of interactive science workshops and e-learning.
Evelyn's science beginnings were obvious at a very early age when she spent countless hours making potions and mixtures that could have dissolved the bathroom sink! Later, she found her place at UQAM's uber-challenging and intensive biology program where, after 3 gruelling years, she earned her Bachelor's in Science in Biology with a specialization in molecular biology and biotechnology. Immunology, the study of the body's defenses against germs, was utterly fascinating to her. The project she took on during her graduate studies satisfied her need to be challenged and kept her busy for nearly three years. At the same time she attended and participated in science symposia, and also worked as a science animator and workshop facilitator at the Musée Armand-Frappier.
In addition to founding and directing Educavif, she also heads a science communications company called Live Stuff, which specializes in making life sciences relevant and accessible to both children and adults in the form of hands-on workshops presented in libraries, daycamps, and homeschools.
